Who would you rather bring into your team someone who decides to join you because he has been led to believe it is easy and then quits when he learns the truth or do you want people who understand it will take work to become successful?
Truth is in life everything takes work to become successful, the only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary!
The one thing I have noticed about this industry is how some people feel the need to hype and oversell their company and opportunity when they try to recruit Network Marketing professionals or anyone else for that matter. This type of approach just turns people off before they even get a chance to look at the information.
If you are in Network Marketing and prospecting network marketing professionals using the following phrases you will NOT do much for your credibility:
- Our product/service is a “Game Changer”
- We have “Cracked the Code”
- It’s a “Ground Floor Opportunity”
- We are a “Category Creator”
- We are the “Next Billion Dollar Company”
- You don’t have to sell anything, just share the products/service
- All the “Big Boys” are getting in
- Marketing is done for you, you only have to “Click”
- You don’t have to do anything, just sign up
- Join now and I will put people under you.
There is a right way to approach network marketing professionals if you want to offer your opportunity to them:
- First ask for permission to share your information
- Don’t force the issue
- Use facts and figures so they can evaluate the business.
- Get support from your upline especially if you are talking to a “heavy hitter”
- Understand and respect it may not be the right time for them to consider your opportunity, however if you have approached them correctly they will remember you when their circumstances change and they are considering their options
One of the secrets to growing your Network Marketing business fast is to bring in people who are already in Network Marketing and understand the industry, who already have a team they can bring with them. However these Network Marketing professionals have to be handled with respect.
Finally, I will say even though the industry of Network Marketing is not easy it is MOST DEFINITELY WORTH IT!
